Live TV transmissions in Venezuela banned by National Guard: Is someone getting desperate?

Caracas 07.11.2006 | In response to Rosales' debate challenge, Hugo Chavez said yesterday something to the effect that when you are ahead you don't act in desperation, as if the debate challenge was a desperate move by the opposition candidate. Well, someone in Government was certainly acting in desperation today when the National Guard banned private TV stations from having access to their microwave relay station in Caracas and asking them to submit 24 hours ahead of time their request for a live transmission. Somebody up there must be mighty worried about those live images of Rosales' walks all over the country with thousands of followers behind him. They have become daily events all over and will continue to take place until Dec. 3d.,live brodcasts or not.
