Hugo Chavez's ruling party (MVR) rejected by Socialist International

London 06.02.05 | Venezuelan press reports that, Hugo Chavez's Movimiento Quinta Republica (MVR) party bid to become a member of the Socialist International, was rejected in the recent annual meeting of the organization held in Athens. It seems that, after seven years of failures and crimes, Chavez's brand of 'socialism' has not fooled true socialists from around the world. But worse still, for Fidel's apprentice, is that Accion Democratica (AD), one of Venezuela's main opposition parties, was reconfirmed as full member of the said organization.
