London 15.03.04 - The Electoral Hall of Venezuela's Supreme Court (TSJ) has just ruled against the National Electoral Council (CNE) regarding the more than 840.000 signatures that were sent to the Technical Superior Committee of verification for having 'similar calligraphy.'
Justices Orlando Garavini, Alberto Martini Urdaneta and Rafael Hernández of the Electoral Hall of the TSJ, decided in favour of the appeal presented by opposition members to strike the decision of the CNE.
They also left without effect the instructions of the Technical Superior Committee which had qualified many forms as having similar calligraphy.
The issue will have to be heard now by the plenary of the TSJ.
