President Chávez insists on Bolivian beach

President Hugo Chavez said Tuesday he “continued dreaming of swimming in a Bolivian beach”, reiterating his remarks last week in support of Bolivia's claim to access to the Pacific Ocean through Chilean territory.
He said Chile's decision to recall its ambassador was a "great surprise" to him. Venezuela and Chile both recalled their ambassadors for consultations indefinitely last week. The Chilean government decided not to comment on these new statements by President Chávez.
Chile maintains it has no territorial dispute with Bolivia since the borders between the two countries were determined in a 1904 treaty.
